AI Tools Disclaimer & Terms — New Draft
Planned safeguards and member terms for NatureBot MD, Rowan Alderwood, and any future Alt-Well conversational or generative tools.
Educational tools—not clinicians
Alt-Well AI tools are intended to support learning, reflection, resource navigation, and question organization. They are not physicians, pharmacists, therapists, herbalists, emergency services, or substitutes for qualified professional care.
Prohibited medical reliance
Do not use AI outputs to diagnose, prescribe, select or change medication, determine dosing, assess emergencies, interpret tests, or delay professional care. Members remain responsible for decisions and should verify important information with authoritative sources and qualified professionals.
Accuracy and limitations
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, biased, fabricated, or inappropriate for a user’s circumstances. A confident tone does not establish reliability. Sources, quotations, plant identities, interactions, contraindications, and legal status require independent verification.
Sensitive information
Members should not enter medical records, diagnoses linked to identity, insurance data, government identifiers, payment-card data, precise private locations, passwords, or confidential information about another person. The final interface should reinforce these limits before input.
Emergency and crisis use
The tools must not be used for emergencies, poisoning, self-harm crises, acute symptoms, or urgent medication questions. The interface should direct users to local emergency, poison-control, crisis, or professional resources as appropriate.
Access and account rules
Access may require an active eligible membership and a separate third-party account. Usage may be limited to protect reliability, safety, and cost. Sharing credentials, bypassing safeguards, automated extraction, or abusive use may lead to suspension.
Third-party platforms and availability
Tool availability may depend on OpenAI or other providers, internet access, model changes, regional availability, and third-party terms. Alt-Well cannot promise uninterrupted access or unchanged capabilities.
Outputs, ownership, and permitted use
The final terms must define rights in prompts and outputs, personal versus commercial use, attribution, prohibited publication, and responsibility for infringement or harmful use. Members should not assume an output is unique or protected from similar generation for others.
Privacy and retention
The final version must explain what Alt-Well and each provider receive, where data is processed, whether conversations are retained or used for improvement, deletion options, access logging, and how member identity is linked to usage.
Changes, suspension, and feedback
Features may be modified or withdrawn for safety, legal, technical, or business reasons. Material changes affecting a paid core benefit should be handled consistently with the Subscription and Refund policies.
