Website Terms — New Draft
The planned terms governing use of Alt-Well’s public content, accounts, community features, shop, magazine, memberships, and future digital tools.
Acceptance and scope
These terms are intended to apply when a person visits, creates an account, purchases, subscribes, contributes, or uses an Alt-Well service. Additional product, subscription, community, promotion, or AI-tool terms may also apply.
Educational nature
Alt-Well provides editorial, educational, and commercial information, not individualized medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. The Health & Medical Disclaimer is incorporated into the final terms.
Accounts and eligibility
Users should provide accurate information, protect credentials, and promptly report unauthorized use. The final terms must establish age eligibility, account ownership, permitted household use, and responsibilities for activity under an account.
Acceptable use
Users may not interfere with security or operation; scrape or automate access without permission; introduce malicious code; impersonate others; violate privacy or intellectual-property rights; harass; make unlawful claims; or use the services to cause harm.
Content and intellectual property
Alt-Well articles, issues, graphics, branding, downloads, and site materials are protected by applicable rights. A subscription grants personal access, not ownership or an unrestricted right to copy, redistribute, resell, train models on, or publicly post paid material.
User and contributor content
If comments, profiles, groups, submissions, reviews, or community features are enabled, separate moderation rules and a license for submitted content are required. Users should not submit material they lack the right or consent to share.
Orders, subscriptions, and payments
Purchases will be subject to the displayed product terms, Subscription Policy, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and checkout disclosures. Alt-Well may correct genuine pricing or listing errors and should explain the available remedy.
Third-party services
Alt-Well may rely on payment, fulfillment, email, analytics, hosting, community, and AI providers. Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy practices, and availability may change.
Disclaimers and service availability
Services may be interrupted, updated, or changed. Final warranty-disclaimer language must be tailored by counsel and must not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
Liability, indemnity, and disputes
Any limitation of liability, indemnification, governing-law, venue, arbitration, class-action, or informal-dispute terms require jurisdiction-specific legal review and conspicuous presentation. They are intentionally not invented in this draft.
Changes and contact
The final terms should explain how changes are dated and communicated and when continued use constitutes acceptance. Questions should use the designated legal or support contact once established.
