Shipping & Magazine Delivery — New Draft

The planned delivery framework for printed magazine subscriptions and future physical products.

Private pre-launch draftLegal review required
Draft status: No shipping region, carrier, postage rate, processing time, delivery estimate, or replacement window is final. This draft must be reconciled with the printer and fulfillment providers.

Where Alt-Well ships

Available destinations will be displayed before purchase. Initial domestic regions, territories, post-office boxes, military addresses, and international availability remain to be confirmed.

Processing and publication schedule

Magazine delivery depends on publication, printing, address-export, and carrier schedules. Product processing and magazine mailing estimates should be stated separately and should not be represented as guaranteed delivery dates.

Shipping charges and taxes

Applicable postage, handling, tax, customs, duties, and import charges should be shown or explained before payment. Responsibility for international import charges must be stated clearly.

Addresses and cutoff dates

Subscribers are responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate delivery address. The final policy must state the address-change cutoff for each issue and what happens when a change is submitted after mailing data has been sent.

Tracking and carrier delays

Tracking may not be available for every magazine-mailing class. Weather, holidays, carrier disruptions, customs, and local delivery conditions may cause delays beyond Alt-Well’s control.

Missing or delayed issues

The final policy should define when an issue is considered late, the period for reporting it, the verification process, and whether the remedy is replacement, extension, credit, or refund.

Damaged or incorrect deliveries

Customers should report materially damaged or incorrect deliveries promptly with the order or subscription information and reasonable photos when requested. Packaging damage that does not affect the item may be treated differently.

Returned and undeliverable mail

Rules are needed for incomplete addresses, refused packages, unclaimed mail, repeated delivery failures, reshipping fees, and subscription holds. Alt-Well should not repeatedly send to an address known to be invalid.

International delivery

International delivery may involve longer transit times, customs inspection, import restrictions, and additional charges. Products or botanical goods may not be eligible for every destination.

Support

Until a dedicated fulfillment channel is established, delivery questions should use the contact page. The final policy must include the support email, response target, and information needed to locate an order.

Before launch: confirm destinations, rates, carriers, mailing class, address cutoff, late-issue window, replacement limits, and international terms.
